Well, things are finally slowing down at work. I've been extremely busy with overtime this month. Praise God for His plan though because it has enabled us to keep up with our expenses. This month we went through $360.00 in resources with $110.00 in outside donations. Again praise God for providing Tammy and I with the extra $250.00 in resources to cover this month's expenses and even make up some of the debt we've accumulated this past year. I don't think I could bear putting a figure on it, so I'll just keep laying this all out there for anyone compelled to help. Thanks to all who have participated in this mission.
Anyway, on to the important stuff, Scott has been calling regularly and should be on work release (out on weekends) in a few months. I've had a chance to get to know his fiancee and need to get a box of books sent off to him today. We're back up to 9 this past week at the Mcdonough county jail. Please focus prayers on Jeremiah. He has turned 18 in the jail but since he came in as a juvenile he's not allowed to be with the adults. Since he's the only juvenile, he's been in "solitary" for several months now.
Had all ends of the pectrum this past weekend. First was a man opening a bible for the first time in his life and taking the very first steps towards finding God. Second was a dear brother in Christ and friend that's been in jail for a while but couldn't bring himself to see me until this week. Finally, we had Dell, Julius and Darrell and the rest of their posse (Dan, Ty, and Russell) who brought me down to study with the entire cell block. The one on one studies are awesome, but there's something about having the seven of us together at once that's so special too. What a group. These guys are basically THE ministry team that God has established within the jail itself and they draw into their circle anyone that gets close. Too bad the cell blocks won't hold more people because I think there's a waiting list to be able to get in with these guys. Keep up His good work brothers.
His love to all,
Brian
