Well another few months have gone by. I have been very busy with R.C. getting released from DOC. He is at home with the ankle bracelet and was cleared for church and Celebrate last month. He is doing very well, we have even created a small men's group on Tuesday's at his home. Spiritually, he is doing fantastic and is relaxing into his "new life" even though we seem to regularly admit the challenges we have yet to address in ourselves. Great to have a new brother by my side to help bear up under each others burdens.
R.C. has a friend in the MCJ that I have been meeting with for about a month and a half. He is from the same area and has other contacts within our church family that are very active. Looks like another support network like R.C. had waiting for him when he got out. Hopefully he will make as much effort as R.C. has to hang on to his new faith and allow God to catch him when he gets out. What an awesome thing to see how God works through us to minister to these men as they take those first steps into their new life. What an awesome family of believers at the Crossing and at Celebrate.
Things have been steady at the jail, although I had a couple weeks that I missed unexpectedly due to working OT at the water plant. I have been having about a dozen guys in 5 or 6 groups. I have been averaging about 4 hours every other Sunday in our worship & study times. I am still hopeful that I can figure out the way I need to share this with our church family at the Crossing in order to get some help. I always need the prayers and words of encouragement, but people to help with correspondence, or rides to church, or bibles and study materials is always a relief.
Please pray for Justin and Darren, as they are being released over the next couple weeks and have asked that I contact them to get them to church and Celebrate.
In Him,
Brian
