hello everyone,
Things are going well here. Meeting with the guys in jail every other week has continued to be a great encouragement to me. I have been providing a copy of our "new members" handouts from church (the Crossing). The guys always want to know about my church and it has a lot of great scriptures and descriptions of salvation, baptism, etc. It's always encouraging to see the men on the outside and coming to church. I have been greatly encouraged to have one of the staff members joining our church on a regular basis with their family and another requesting a bible and church information and exchanging phone numbers. Please pray for spiritual growth in our friendship. I also would like to ask for prayers for Chris, as he has been released. He is a return "customer" that needs to break this cycle of destruction in his life. He is hoping to come to church on Sundays or Thursdays. Praise God for every addition of meeting times at church. Also pray for me as I am considering starting a men's study on Wednesday nights before Kid Central. Also, I have met with Clayton, our lead pastor at the Crossing Macomb, about Mission Macomb and specifically the jail ministry. He saw no immediate concerns and was able to encourage me, as a good brother should, to be more assertive. Finally, please pray for the provision of bibles and time for me the next few months. I was able to pick up some NIV new testaments yesterday for $2 each, but i may be sending those to brother Adrian at the church in Alligator Pond, Jamaica.
